"Why don't you change your store name? Make it more professional?" Ouch, that one stung. There is a lot in a name, especially this one. It serves as a reminder of a beautiful story of love, loss, and resilience that inspired the creation of Baby Boo's Backpack.
What inspired the creation of Baby Boo's Backpack?
Picture a vibrant, active little girl named Sevanah whose passion for crafting, art, and storytelling knew no bounds. Her creativity sparkled like a rare gem, illuminating the lives of her beloved cousins and family with joy and wonder. However, fate had a cruel twist in store, as Sevanah was diagnosed with a rare DIPG brain tumour at just 6-years-old. After being diagnosed with DIPG Sevanah declared, “When I get better, we can help other kids with DIPG!” A true testament to her kind, loving nature.
How did Sevanah's journey influence Baby Boo's Backpack?
Despite the challenges she faced, Sevanah's determination and love for her family never wavered. She poured her heart and soul into creating beautiful crafts for everyone and educational materials for her cousins, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and warmth. Tragically, Sevanah's journey came to an end on September 4th 2015, leaving an unimaginable void in the hearts of those who knew her.
How did Baby Boo's Backpack come to life?
In the aftermath of Sevanah's passing, a sense of loss and longing enveloped those who cherished her memory. As her mother, I was searching for purpose and meaning without my 'Baby Boo.' Slowly, like a delicate flower pushing through the cracks in the pavement, the idea of Baby Boo's Backpack began to take shape.
Returning to the field of Early Childhood Education, I began to find solace and inspiration in the world of crafting and teaching. Drawing upon Sevanah's legacy of creativity and love, I embarked on a journey to create a brand that would honour her memory and bring joy to children everywhere.
And thus, Baby Boo's Backpack was born, a beacon of light in a world touched by darkness, a tribute to Sevanah's spirit and the enduring power of love and creativity. Each product crafted with care and dedication, carrying forward the legacy of a remarkable soul who continues to inspire and uplift, even in absence.
